Grilled Flank Steak with Sweet Onions

Nothing beats the sweet aroma of steak and onions cooking on the grill. To serve, slice the flank steak thinly, against the grain, for tender juicy slices.

Ingredients

  • 1 Bag Ore-Ida® Grillers
  • 1/4 Cup Lea & Perrins® The Original Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Heinz® Gourmet Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Oregeno or Basil, finely chopped
  • 2 Red Onions, sliced
  • 1 1/2 Pounds Flank Steak

Directions

  1. Prepare Ore-Ida® Grillers according to the directions on the bag.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together Worcestershire Sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, oil and oregano. Place beef and onions in marinade and turn until well-coated. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for one hour, or overnight if desired, turning occasionally.
  3. Remove beef and onions from refrigerator, reserving marinade. Grill beef over medium-high heat for 5 to 8 minutes on each side, or until internal temperature reached 165°F, basting frequently for first 5 to 10 minutes. Discard any remaining marinade. Grill onions for 6 to 8 minutes, or until tender.
  4. Serve with Ore-Ida® Grillers.

Tip

  • If preferred, use a resealable plastic bag for marinating. Discard bag after use. Substitute 2 Tbsp. of fresh oregano with 1/2 Tbsp. of dried oregano.
