French Fries
Sometimes you got to spice things up.
Whether it’s a different dipping sauce or some cool seasoning, there are plenty of ways to make your french fries new and different. These tips will get your imagination cooking (and your mouth watering).
- Don’t overload the tray. Put your fries in a single layer on the baking sheet so that you get the right amount of crispiness.
- Always serve your fries straight from the tray to the plate if you can. Piling too many fries onto a dish can give them a softer texture.
- When fries are piping hot, sprinkle some garlic powder and salt over them. For even more garlicky goodness, roast some garlic cloves underneath the fries on the same pan.
- Sprinkle your fries with chili pepper or cumin for a nice little kick.
- Add some freshly roasted garlic to fat free mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper for an aioli style sauce. Very French, oui?
- Switch up your dips. Try barbeque sauce or honey mustard. Or, if you’re feeling really adventurous, mix up some fat free mayonnaise, sour cream, and French onion soup mix.
