Fantastic product. Will never go back to "potato buds"
My family loves the steam and mash potatoes product. However, our local grocery store, pick and save, told us they were going out of production. Why? Eveybody we know loves them!

Packaging Change Causing Quality Issues
When the package was bright blue, the product was perfect. All of the chunks of potato would be fully cooked. Now, the same potatoes are in a package with a grayish-blue label. The instructions are the same, but since the potatoes have been in this new package, the chunks are uncooked, and not as flavorful. Chunks of uncooked potato are just not desirable in mashed potatoes!!

Everyone thought I had cooked for an hour to make great potatoes
I hate to peel potatoes. I have used Ore Ida mashed potatoes several times now and everyone thinks I peeled them myself. Great taste, real potatoes and no peeling. I love it!

Takes the work out of Mashed Potatoes
I was so pleased at Thanksgiving to see this product at my son's house for dinner. The potatoes were the best ever and no peeling and cutting. Now I used them for the family christmas dinner by fixing ahead and putting in the crockpot on warm. I put pats of butter on the top and used light sour cream and fat free 1/2 and 1/2. They were perfect and fluffy. Now I will be able to make a favorite--even for large groups ahead of time so easily--and so good. Thanks OreIda for the time saving quality product.

Rescue product and now my forever "Go To" to make mashed potatoes
Steam n' Mash was an emergency selection recently at an office pitch in. The person bringing forgot her mashed potato dish and so went to store and picked up 3 bags of Stem n "Mash Cut Russet Style. The experienced cooks were all busy so I took on the task of quickly making mashed potatoes in break room. I am known as "not be a cook at all" at offcie so all were amazed at my producing mashed potatoes for 12 people so quickly. Two bags would have worked, but leftovers are always great! Found it was best to heat one bag at a time in microwave-rest a minute and poured into a crock pot, then put a second bag in microwave. I could have waited for all 3 bags to cook and then mashed all at once in crock pot, but I added 2 Tab butter and 2/3 cup milk to first bag and mashed, then repeated 2 more times. It was truely a breeze and if I can make potatoes and mash them with just a serving fork at an office they can really turn out grand at home. This holiday I plan to jazz up two bags with a carton of sour cream and a cream cheese 8oz.each along with butter and milk as needed. Crock pot turned out great, but can easily be mashed and then heated in a sprayed casserole 350 for 30minutes uncovered. Ore- Ida's name lettters can be scrambled to O-readi!
