These were delicious! I will buy these from now on! They were so good, they weren't a bunch of little tiny fries in a bag, nice size and cooked up in the oven great! Dip em' in a little light Ranch dressing...mmmm good! Kids loved em! February 1, 2012
THE BEST FROZEN FRY OUT THERE! I have to say I was really impressed! I think frozen fries in general never have that real fresh taste like quality fast food fries can have. These babies take the cake for me! They are a tad bit spicy but the flavor in general is just fresh and tasty. I gave 3 stars for the quality of the oil used to cook the fry in. Soybean is the worst oil to use in cooking. It would be great if they used something healthier, like grapeseed oil, coconut oil, or olive oil. I would pay more for a higher quality product! NO "ZEST" I am always looking for a bargain and these were on sale at our local supermarket. Normally we purchase store brand, but are not too picky if the price is right. I do think OreIda has a great product, but these missed the mark. Unfortunately the name "Zesties" is not fitting. More like "Blandies". Absolutely NO FLAVOR. We baked these according to the directions, so it was not operator error- it's not rocket science. The taste was bland and had to add lots of salt (even some seasoning salt). They were dry and almost chewy on the outside. Not crisp at all. Wondered if maybe there is a shipping issue. Inconsistent temps or something. The only reason I gave 2 stars was the cut of the fries were consistent and mostly uniform- not too many crunchy bits although I like them. All in all, this was a HUGE bomb and I will not be purchasing this product again. My supermarket brand of seasoned fries is much better and cheaper! Sorry. November 27, 2011
